This article is one of the most important milestones in the early history of the Central Coast Aero Club. It celebrates the club’s first decade, officially opens the Warnervale clubhouse, and records recognition from the Federation of Aero Clubs of Australia that the facilities at Warnervale were among the finest of any club of similar age in the country. It also documents the rapid growth of the club—from just 19 members in 1972 to 238 members and $70,000 in assets by 1982—and acknowledges many of the volunteers whose efforts transformed Warnervale from undeveloped land into a thriving aviation centre.
